Residential Counselor
James Jones earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch University Los Angeles with a dual concentration in Psychology and Addiction Studies and is currently enrolled with Touro University pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Psychology. James is also an alumnus of The Pasadena Playhouse Theater Arts Program. For the last five years, James has been working with Substance Abuse Treatment facilities in Malibu and Palm Springs, California, actively bringing hope and healing to individuals and families impacted by addiction and behavioral health concerns. James is a Registered Alcohol Drug Technician (RADT) through California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP), and a member of both the California Association for Drug and Alcohol Educators (CAADE) and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).
As an active volunteer, James has found great reward working with dozens of charities and non-profits, such as Book Pals through the Screen Actors Guild, The Midnight Mission, Project Angel Food, and Aids Project Los Angeles, as well as Equestrian Events for the Special Olympics and The Trevor Project, where he received an Outstanding Achievement Award. James currently resides in Palm Springs, California, and enjoys the majestic Coachella Valley’s beauty and splendor. James practices Vedic meditation, and enjoys cooking for friends, the wonder of gardening, exploring nature while hiking, and the endless joy of reading.
